Cannensi Wine and Oil from the Apulian Countryside

Love and passion for the land has given life to the Cannensi name. The Delcuratolo brothers have inherited the local farming traditions that have been passed down from father to son. They produce and select from the specialities of the Canne area.

Apulia is a land rich in history. We can not forget of men such as the courageous and strategically able Hannibal the warrior, who defeated the Romans in the legendary battle of Canne. The great Emperor Federico II of Svevia, who established his hunting residence at the magnificent ‘Castle del Monte’. The heroic Ettore Fieramosca who lead thirteen brave knights from Italy to victory over the French in the ‘Disfida of Barletta’. And also Giuseppe de Nittis who was born and raised in Apulia. This stunning and beautiful countryside served as the inspiration for his great paintings.

The history, traditions, and love for the land are all part of the beauty that characterises this region. These values have been passed down through the generations, it has come to us and we are able to see this beautiful past in such stunning places as the great plains of Ofantina near the Murge, or in the endless sweeping fields cultivated by wise peasants who have raised these wonderful vineyards. The expertise, caring knowledge and methods of these original farmers are still employed today and can be seen in the splendid secular olive groves. The plants that grow in this land flourish in the unique Mediterranean climate that reigns over Apulia.
